The RaceQuip PRO20 CARBON SIDE AIR Helmet is a Snell SA2020 rated full face auto racing helmet that incorporates contemporary styling with advanced composite production techniques. The shell is built using Carbon Fiber and Kevlar(R) materials placed into pressurized steel molds to achieve the best combination of light weight and strength. These helmets are also sometimes called forced air, blower, or pumper helmets because they have a provision on the helmet to attach a fresh air hose. The left side manifold design utilizes an inlet barb that works with standard 1.250" round hose. The forced air is channeled from the manifold across the face shield from left to right. The forced air cools your face and airways and keeps the face shield fog free. Reinforced M6 threaded HANS/HNR inserts are mated to the Carbon Fiber shell along with an expanded polystyrene (EPS) liner. HANS or other Head and Neck Restraint device anchor posts (not included) can be easily attached to the outside of the helmet using the installed M6 threaded inserts. The distortion free 3mm polycarbonate face shield features a red anodized aluminum pivot kit, hand ratcheting Tear Off posts, and a silicone eye port gasket to seal out dust and dirt. NOTE: This helmet is Snell SA2020-certified and is broadly accepted by race organizing bodies and tracks through 2030. Always verify safety rules with your sanctioning body.
