We began testing a new design for the 6th generation Camaro in January 2019 and now have these in production for use with the OEM style spring on the OEM and optional MagneRide struts, with coilover options added in 2020.
With this design you can easily adjust camber track side with simple hand tools (1/4" hex key wrench). Camber adjustment is about 2.5° of added negative camber over stock. Caster has two settings, which Vorshlag recommends not setting track side. Over-sized spherical bearings are designed to withstand the rigors of street and track abuse. All components are plated for maximum corrosion resistance and long life. Read more about the engineering behind Vorshlag camber plates here.
This design has been tested rigorously on multiple cars that see both street and track use. The Vorshlag 6th gen Camaro camber plate uses their massive spherical bearing — the largest used in any 6th Gen camber plate on the market — and an exclusive sealed double-row radial bearing.

❌ Not compatible |
— |
These camber plates do not fit Multimatic DSSV strut shafts. Contact Vorshlag if unsure. |
| ZL1 / 1LE / PDQ strut tower brace |
⚠️ Minor modification required |
Standard perch for your spring size |
The bolt-on strut tower brace attaches to one of the 3 top mounting holes. That hole may need slight enlargement to accept the included nut and washer. Brace is primarily cosmetic and does not affect lap times per Vorshlag. |
| Unlisted aftermarket strut brand |
⚠️ Verify stem profile |
Depends on spring size |
Vorshlag requires the strut shaft stem dimensions to configure correctly. Contact Vorshlag before ordering if your brand is not in the drop-down. |

- Largest spherical bearing used in any 6th Gen camber plate on the market — superior durability and wear resistance vs. undersized competitor bearings (per Vorshlag)
- Aluminum alloy main plate + steel alloy bearing holder — Tough as a tank!
- All components plated for maximum corrosion resistance and long life
- CNC machined upper spring perch included, sized to your coilover spring diameter
- Installs with basic hand tools — no chassis modifications required
- Uses none of the factory OEM top mount or spring perch parts (set aside for return-to-stock)
- Alignment reference marks on top plate face for easy "Street" vs. "Race" camber setting
Required Tools & Installation FAQ
What tools do I need?
- 1/4" hex key (Allen) wrench — for track-side camber adjustment
- Standard socket set — for strut top nut removal and mounting nuts
- Torque wrench — for proper torque on the 3 sliding stud plate nuts
- Floor jack and jack stands — required to safely lift the vehicle
- Wheel chocks — to secure the vehicle during installation
- Drill or rotary tool with appropriate bit — only if you have a ZL1/1LE/PDQ strut tower brace that needs the 3rd hole slightly enlarged
How is installation performed?
Per Vorshlag documentation: the OEM top mount and spring perch are removed entirely and set aside. The Vorshlag camber plate assembly (including the CNC machined upper spring perch) installs in their place on the strut. No chassis modifications are required for standard models. The 3 mounting nuts attach to the sliding stud plate, which is what allows camber adjustment.
How do I adjust camber at the track?
- Raise the front corner so the tire is off the ground.
- Loosen the 3 nuts attaching the sliding stud plate.
- Slide the wheel inboard (more negative camber) or outboard (less negative camber).
- Reference the alignment marks on the top plate to find your "Street" or "Race" setting.
- Tighten the 3 nuts to the specified torque.
- Lower the car, repeat on the other side.
Per Vorshlag: camber adjustment takes less than a minute per side track side.
Can I adjust caster at the track?
The camber plate offers two caster settings. Vorshlag recommends not changing the caster setting track side — set caster in the shop/garage before the event.
Does this fit the Multimatic DSSV struts?
No. These camber plates do not fit Multimatic DSSV struts. If you are unsure whether your car has DSSV struts, contact us before ordering.
My strut brand isn't listed at checkout — what do I do?
Contact Vorshlag with the stem profile dimensions of your strut shaft before placing your order. Vorshlag needs these dimensions to configure the camber plate correctly. A reference photo showing which dimensions are required is available in the product images.
I have a ZL1/1LE/PDQ with a strut tower brace — can I still install these?
Yes, with a minor modification. The bolt-on strut tower brace attaches to one of the 3 strut top mounting holes. You may need to slightly enlarge that hole to accept the included nut and washer hardware. Per Vorshlag, the brace is primarily cosmetic and does not affect lap times. You can remove it entirely or open the hole slightly and retain it.
⚠️ Safety Notes
-
Always use jack stands when the vehicle is elevated. Never work under a car supported only by a floor jack.
-
Use wheel chocks on the wheels remaining on the ground before raising the vehicle.
-
Torque all fasteners to specification after installation and after any track-side camber adjustment. Do not drive on loose or hand-tightened hardware.
-
Verify camber and toe alignment on an alignment rack after initial installation and after any caster setting change. Track-side camber adjustments reference the plate marks but are not a substitute for a full alignment check.
-
Do not modify structural chassis components without consulting a qualified fabricator. The ZL1/1LE strut tower brace hole enlargement described above is limited to the brace mounting hole only — not the chassis itself.
- If you are unsure about any step, consult a professional installer familiar with suspension work.
Media Guide: What to Look For
Note to buyer: The product currently has one photo. The following describes the key visual details documented in Vorshlag's engineering photos and what to look for when reviewing additional media from Vorshlag's site or install guides.
-
Top plate assembly — CNC machined aluminum top plate with alignment reference marks for Street and Race camber positions. The pointer on the "top ring" indexes to these marks.
-
Sliding stud plate — The 3-nut sliding mechanism that enables in-car camber adjustment without tools beyond a 1/4" hex key and socket.
-
Spherical bearing housing — The oversized spherical bearing and sealed double-row radial bearing visible on the underside of the assembly.
-
CNC spring perch — The machined upper perch sized to your coilover spring diameter (2.5" for this listing), visible when the assembly is inverted.
-
Mounting point orientation — The 3-bolt pattern matches the OEM strut tower hole pattern on 2016+ Camaros with no chassis modifications.
-
Strut stem profile reference photo — Shows the specific dimensions Vorshlag needs for unlisted strut brands. If your brand is not in the checkout drop-down, reference this image and contact us.
For additional engineering photos and development documentation, visit Vorshlag's spherical bearing engineering page.
NOTE: If you have a ZLE/1LE/PDQ version with a bolt-on strut tower brace, it normally attaches to one of the 3 strut top mounting holes. You may need to slightly modify that 3rd hole per side to use the included nut and washer hardware. Per Vorshlag, that brace is mostly cosmetic and does not affect lap times. You can remove it or open the hole slightly to accommodate the hardware.
Strut Style: Vorshlag needs your strut brand and model to configure the camber plates correctly to the stem profile of the strut shaft. Select your strut brand and model at checkout. These do NOT fit Multimatic DSSV struts. If your strut brand is not listed, contact us with the stem dimensions before ordering.
