Brake pads are not one-size-fits-all.

Choosing the right brake pad is about matching the compound to how the car is actually used. Street pads are designed for quiet operation, low dust, long life, and rotor friendliness, but they are not intended to handle the repeated heat of autocross, HPDE, or track use. Once pushed beyond their operating range, they can glaze, smear, shed material, and lose effectiveness.

For performance driving, pad temperature range, friction behavior, brake fluid, and proper bed-in procedure all matter. The best brake setup is not always the most aggressive one — it is the one that matches the job.
