Matt's Camaro was built to drive, both on the street and on the track. When Matt bought the car in 2017, it needed a lot of work. It had a lot of nice parts installed, but it didn't run well and the wiring under the hood was a mess. So, out came the engine for a fresh coat of paint and new seals, and the engine bay was given a coat of paint as well. Everything was put back together with a new wiring harness and a Holley Terminator X ECU on the 350 small block. Matt really focused on getting the chassis right on his car, which is why he turned to UMI Performance for their weight jacks, rear lower control arms and a new set of Koni shocks. The car still uses the stock front lower control arms, but Matt upgraded them with Delrin bushings and taller QA1 ball joints to help correct suspension geometry due to the lower ride height. For brakes, a kit from bigbrakeupgrade.com was used to adapt C6 Corvette Z51 rotors and calipers with Hawk brake pads to handle track duty. It's all tied together with 18x10.5" Weld S71 wheels on all four corners with BF Goodrich 315/35R18 Rival S tires. Matt has done all the work on his car at his home garage and has a few more upgrades planned to keep getting faster! .
